Bull Run Mountain Conservatory, VA

Located in Manassas, Bull Run Mountain Conservatory was a pleasant surprise. Researching about this trail, I found out the trail included ruins from the Civil War era. However, to my pleasant surprise, the trail led also on to private property which had a beautiful overlook. On the other hand, the ruins were kind of a disappointment. We only saw about 4 or 5 buildings. Still cool nonetheless. Not bad for a 2 hour hike.

Amazing view from the overlook.

Ruins.

Train tracks that wrap around the trail. Still in use?

The mill building. They closed off the inside on the day we came.

They filled this "well" with ice.

The Chapman Cemetery; one of two cemetery on this trail.

My New Rabbit

I recently adopted a rabbit from a pet place near my house. She's a 2 month old lop rabbit (you can tell by how her ears hang). It's been about 2 weeks now and I still haven't decided a name. I've settled on calling her "Dummy" till I think of a good name.

First day: having a sniff at my knee.

She decided to eat the bag instead of the food inside of it.

Learning how to eat broccoli.

Sleepy rabbit.

Chantilly Farm, VA

One day, on my way to a family party, I drove by a little farm. What caught my eye were the hundreds of goats running around. I had to pull over; glad I did too. Located near Manassas Battlefield Park, the farm is family owned and considerably small compared to other farms. The goats were amazingly friendly. You could buy feed for $1!
Aside from the goats, they also have rabbits, llamas, sheep, and chickens (pass: they smelled so bad). I'd recommend the goats and sheep: all the other animals aren't as friendly.

Look at that boss.

This bastard wouldn't stop licking me. Maybe because I had goat milk lotion on?

Cute, but may bite.

It's like a poodle/horse.

What happens when they found out I bought food.

Babies!

There were literal hundreds of them!

My ugly face. I was trying to get the goat to lick my face.

Petting a sheep's head is like petting an old man.

Great Falls Park, VA

Located in McLean, VA, this national park covers both sides of the Potomac river. It's the border of Virginia and Maryland (I think?) and you can actually wave to people on the other side. This park is great for hiking: easy, but very scenic. This park also provides a nice picnic area with outlooks of the great falls if you're not up for hiking. However, the funnest part, by far, would have to be the rock climbing here. These rocks are PERFECT for rock climbing and I plan on going here more often. SUPER FUNSIES. Just make sure you get here before 12, the place gets crowded as hell.

The Great Falls. Photo taken at the outlook.

Finally at the water.

Those rocks: amazing for rock climbing and bouldering.

Who's that bad-ass?

Yeah, we climbed that. >:P

Pretty flower growing randomly out of the rocks.

Ruins located near the picnic area.

Taken from the Billy Goat Trail.

You can see our backpacks lying there; climbing with them on can be dangerous.

Aquarium, VA Beach

While camping at Virginia Beach, we decided to check out the aquarium nearby. Virginia Aquarium? I don't remember the name.
Still a fun experience: large amount of sharks, colorful fishes, and exhibits for other animals other than fishes.
Dinosaur turtle.

It was hot as hell in this exhibit. Cute turtles though.

You can see my pink shirt in the reflection.

Is that a finch? Nah, it's just food for the komodo dragon.

Get up close and personal with the komodo dragon. I don't recommend it.

Sharks! Crappy camera!

He's smiling.

Petable sting-rays. Friendly little guys.
